Feasibility study for the opening of a subsidiary in the United Kingdom
Client: Mike & James
Context
Mike & James is a quality burger brand based in Chambery which offers a wide range of homemade products (burgers, milk shakes, salads).
After opening a second point of sale, the founder wanted to replicate the concept in London but came up against his lack of knowledge of the British market and English legislation.
Challenges
- Explain legislation and taxation in England to a French entrepreneur
- Adapt a proven business model to the realities of the English market
- Issue all the documents required for the preparation of a high standard business plan
Our intervention
French Touch Commercial supported Mike & James in the analysis of the market for premium burgers and in the drafting of all the required materials for the preparation of the business plan.
Our customer’s very busy diary forced us to schedule numerous short 60-minute work meetings which enabled us to carry out the mission.
During these work meetings, many topics were discussed such as taxation, optimization of the payroll, commercial estate prices, etc.
The operation of the business model were also analysed to ensure they could be adapted to the UK market.
In the end, many documents were drafted including, in particular, a summary note on the initial budget, forecast cash flows and the expected forecast income.
Mike & James now have everything they need to successfully set up in the UK!
French Touch Commercial also supports you throughout the process of finding and securing your commercial premises: shops, restaurants or offices.
