Florian de Cormis, founder and Managing director of Cormis Partners, has asked French Touch Commercial to help him find new office space. He welcomes us in his offices in the heart of St James Square to tell us a little more.

  • Hello Florian, can you tell us a bit more about yourself and your business?

CORMIS PARTNERS is an international executive search firm based in London. We specialize in the recruitment of executive profiles on behalf of investment funds and companies in the energy and infrastructure, manufacturing and services sectors.

  • What motivated you to set up your own company?

In 2020, I founded “Cormis Partners” to provide an Executive Search service dedicated to boards of directors, general management teams and investors (large groups, ETIs, Private Equity, public players) in the management, development and transformation of their organization, and assets under management.

Prior to founding Cormis Partners, I worked for Bouygues Construction in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Pacific in finance and on the development of major infrastructure projects. Since 2012, I have specialized in international executive search and wanted to set up my company in London.

  • Why did you choose London?

London is an ideal international hub for corporate and investment fund services.

  • What sets you apart from your competitors?

We are an international firm of 9 consultants, all of whom are bilingual, trilingual or quadrilingual. We speak 8 languages within the firm. 70% of our mandates are located in the EMEA zone, and 30% in the Americas and Asia-Pacific.

In addition, Cormis Partners has developed a partnership with SNR Partners, a firm specializing in interim management, to offer our clients a full range of recruitment services (Executive Search, Market Mapping, Interim Management).

  • How important are your premises to your business?

Human relations are at the heart of the recruitment business. It starts with creating a team dynamic where senior consultants share their experience with juniors. This team “mayonnaise” takes place mainly through informal exchanges between team members in the office.

  • How did French Touch Commercial help you in your search?

Antoine Detrie of French Touch Commercial has been extremely efficient. He listened to our brief, and found the premises we were looking for in a very short time. He also helped coordinate exchanges between the landlord and the various contractors/suppliers and solicitors. He helped us decipher the process of obtaining a lease in the UK, which is quite different from what we knew in France.

  • What advice would you give to someone wanting to set up a company in the UK?
